  • Reds' Hunter Greene: Bounces back with win

Greene (2-2) got the win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings.

Greene's only blunder of an inning came in the third after allowing the first two guys on before they came around to score on a base knock from Blaze Alexander. He otherwise kept Arizona quiet and put together an excellent rebound outing after some mixed results against them last week. Greene has walked at least a batter in every start this season, but his one free pass was significantly better than the nine he'd given up over his last two starts. The 24-year-old flamethrower now owns a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB in 52.1 innings. He lines up to complete a two-start week against the Dodgers this weekend.

  • Reds' Hunter Greene: Struggles with command vs. Arizona

Greene did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Greene's final line ultimately could've looked a lot worse after he issued a season-high five walks. The 24-year-old Greene has given up nine free passes over his last two starts (10.2 innings), though he's managed to hold opponents to just three runs in that span. Overall, he's 1-2 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 53:21 K:BB through eight starts (45.1 innings). Greene's currently slated for a rematch with the Diamondbacks on the road in his next outing.

  • Reds' Hunter Greene: Sharp again in no-decision

Greene did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing five hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Greene had to contend with some traffic Friday, though he'd ultimately make it through 5.2 innings unscathed. The right-hander fell an out shy of a quality start, though it's his second consecutive scoreless outing -- he blanked the Rangers over seven innings in his last start. Overall, Greene's 1-2 with a 3.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB through 40.1 innings. He's tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks in his next start.

  • Reds' Hunter Greene: Shuts down champs for first win

Greene (1-2) picked up the win in Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Rangers, allowing only one hit and one walk over seven scoreless innings while striking out six.

The Reds' bullpen made things a little more interesting, but Greene was in total control while he was on the mound, firing 63 of 98 pitches for strikes and letting only one runner even get to third base. The right-hander has two quality starts through his first six outings this season, and he'll take a 3.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB through 34.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Orioles.
