Leasure threw 1.1 shutout innings and earned a save against Cleveland on Friday. Leasure fired 12 of 16 pitches for strikes to quickly finish off the 6-3 victory. He's converted two of his three save chances this season, with both conversions coming in his last six appearances. Leasure lowered his ERA to 2.20 with an 11:6 K:BB through 16.1 innings. Michael Kopech was seemingly unavailable after pitching Wednesday and Thursday.... See More ... See Less

White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Working as primary setup man
Leasure allowed one hit and struck out one across a scoreless inning in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Leasure is consistently working in high-leverage roles, with each of his last four appearances coming in the eighth inning or later. He's turned in three scoreless performances in that span, though he did blow a lead April 28 by allowing two earned runs to the Twins. Leasure also hasn't been particularly dominant overall, maintaining a 9:6 K:BB in 14 innings of work for the season. Still, he has one of the White Sox's five total saves and could be the choice to close games out when Michael Kopech is used in high-leverage situations rather than being reserved for save situations.... White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Picks up third hold
Leasure allowed one earned run on two hits across one inning to earn a hold Tuesday against the Twins. Leasure entered the game in the seventh inning and was tasked with protecting a two-run lead. He gave up an earned run for his second consecutive appearance, though those are his only runs allowed across 9.1 innings of work on the season. Michael Kopech has earned the majority of save chances for the White Sox to this point in the campaign, but Leasure has proven to work effectively in high-leverage roles.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Officially added to roster
The White Sox selected Leasure's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Leasure earned an Opening Day roster spot by permitting just two runs with an 11:4 K:BB over 9.1 Cactus League innings. The hard-throwing right-hander has yet to appear in a major-league game but could find himself in high-leverage relief situations right away.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Earns roster spot
Leasure will make the Opening Day roster, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Leasure did not allow an earned run until his 10th appearance of Cactus League action, and he's compiled an 11:4 K:BB across 9.1 innings. He's likely to be in immediate contention for high-leverage roles with the team, though manager Pedro Grifol has made it clear that the White Sox will not begin the season with a defined closer.... White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Impressing in camp
Leasure has impressed coaches and teammates early in camp, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports. Leasure was acquired by the White Sox at the trade deadline last season and reached Triple-A Charlotte prior to the close of the campaign. His surface stats weren't particularly impressive, but he did manage 23 punchouts across 13.1 innings of work at the level. With a fastball that hits triple digits, Leasure has the upside to be a high-leverage reliever. Given that the White Sox's bullpen is wide open, he may work his way into a setup -- and potentially even closer -- role as early as 2024.... See More ... See Less
