Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Headed to New Orleans
Wilson signed a two-year contract with the Saints on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Wilson played the last two seasons in Miami but was something of an afterthought in the offense while playing behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. He could potentially see an increased role with the Saints, who have a returning wide receiver corps of only Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and A.T. Perry. Wilson will likely fight for playing time throughout training camp, but he has a realistic chance to surpass his previous high of 521 offensive snaps in a season in the upcoming campaign.

Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Decisions coming this offseason
Wilson secured three of seven targets for 37 yards during Saturday's season-ending wild-card playoff loss to the Chiefs.
Wilson drew his highest target total of the 2023 campaign during Miami's sole playoff appearance, capping a stretch run in which his involvement on offense grew, despite lacking a notable uptick in production. Across 15 regular-season appearances, the 28-year-old wideout secured 17 of 38 targets for 296 yards and three touchdowns, better marks across the board than his 2022 season (also 15 games played). Wilson has emerged as a serviceable No. 3 option behind the dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but due to the contract restructure he signed back in August, as Jonathan Jones of CBSSports.com reports, his deal will now void automatically void this offseason. It's possible, though, that Miami could pursue re-signing Wilson to a team-friendly deal.

Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Quiet in loss to Bills
Wilson secured one of three targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 21-14 loss to Buffalo.
Wilson failed to make much of his expanded opportunity with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined versus Buffalo, though he did play a season-high 96 percent of the Dolphins' offensive snaps. Pending Waddle's status for Saturday's wild-card matchup at Kansas City, Wilson could again be called upon to step up as the Dolphins' No. 2 wideout behind Tyreek Hill. Across 15 regular-season appearances in 2023, Wilson turned his 38 targets into 22 catches for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Finds end zone on two catches
Wilson caught two passes for 27 yards and one touchdown on four targets in Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Ravens.
It's disappointing that Wilson couldn't draw more targets on a day when Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sat out, especially since the Ravens were without two of their leading corners (Brandon Stephens and Kyle Hamilton). The touchdown salvaged the game somewhat for Wilson, but whenever Waddle is healthy again Wilson will likely be reduced mostly to a blocker again. With that said, it's not clear whether Waddle might return against Buffalo in Week 18.

Wilson secured three of five targets for 42 yards during Sunday's 22-20 win over Dallas.
Wilson tallied his highest yardage total since Week 7, in part due to Jaylen Waddle (shin) exiting in the third quarter. Should Waddle miss any further time, Wilson would stand to handle a more significant role behind Tyreek Hill, who recently dealt with an ankle injury of his own. Wilson could become an interesting streaming option in Week 17 against Baltimore.

Wilson's lack of production was disappointing considering the presumed opportunity opened up by Tyreek Hill (ankle) missing the game, but unsurprising considering Jaylen Waddle's 8-142-1 line. In all but the deepest of formats, Wilson carries no fantasy value with a Week 16 matchup against the Cowboys coming up.

Wilson and Robbie Chosen split No. 3 receiver reps behind top targets Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle versus Las Vegas. While Wilson had scored in two straight games leading up to Miami's bye, he logged his highest catch total since Week 5 versus the Raiders. It was also just his fourth time this season with at least 20 receiving yards. Wilson stands to handle a similar depth role on the road Friday versus the Jets.

Wilson has now scored in back-to-back weeks, though his efficiency on five targets left something to be desired Week 9. He did have a key illegal shift penalty that wiped out what would have been a long gain by Tyreek Hill, though, so despite his nose for the end zone, it's still not a guarantee Wilson secures the No. 3 WR job for himself. After a Week 10 bye, Wilson's next chance to make a good impression will come Sunday, Nov. 19 versus the Raiders.

Wilson recorded his first touchdown in a Dolphins uniform Sunday, though he played a season-low 29 percent of offensive snaps. He will look to get more involved versus the Chiefs in Germany in Week 9, but with Chase Claypool now also in the mix as a depth wideout, there aren't many snaps to go around behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
